Juselius Mausoleum

TIME : 2016/2/18 18:39:49

Very much a family affair, this place was built by FA Juselius, a wealthy businessman, as a memorial to his daughter who died of tuberculosis at the age of 11. The original frescoes were painted in 1898 by Finnish artist Akseli Gallen-Kallela (who had just lost his own daughter). After they decayed, Akseli’s son, Jorma Gallen-Kallela, repainted them after his father’s death.
