TIME : 2016/2/18 18:09:36

Sète was the birthplace of the symbolist poet Paul Valéry (1871–1945), and the town’s main museum houses a huge collection of his works, along with over 700 paintings and 1000 drawings. The local area around Sète features heavily – especially the sea, Valéry’s main poetic inspiration. He is buried in the nearby Cimitière Marin.
