Rotes Rathaus

TIME : 2016/2/18 19:36:29

The hulking Rotes Rathaus is the office of Berlin's senate and governing mayor. The structure blends Italian Renaissance elements with northern German brick architecture and is framed by a terracotta frieze that illustrates Berlin milestones until 1871.

The moniker 'red', by the way, was inspired by the colour of its bricks and not (necessarily) the political leanings of its occupants.
