This well-signed site is not to be missed. It lies alluringly and accessibly above the southeastern beach and includes the considerable, and photogenic, remains of an ancient temple where the gods were once invoked to protect sailors. A partially submerged nearby marble quarry operated from the 7th century BC to the 6th century AD. Follow the marked path to its striking location at the west harbour.
