South of Psarades and close to the Albanian border, ramshackle farming village Vrondero has little to detain you other than access to excellent walking trails. Kokkalis Cave , used as a partisan hospital during the Greek Civil War, is a 30-minute hike from Vrondero or a short drive if you have a 4WD.
