Trolltunga

TIME : 2016/2/18 23:02:10

Norway's specialises in extraordinary rock platforms offering both panoramic views and postcard-perfect photo opportunities. Up there with the best of them is Trolltunga, a narrow finger of rock that hangs out over the void high above the lake Ringedalsvatnet. To reach it, drive north of Odda to Tyssedal, then northeast to Skjeggedal, from where Trolltunga is an eight- to 10-hour return hike away. En route, watch out for the Tyssestrengene waterfall (646m).

If you continue on a little beyond Trolltunga, you reach another fine vantage point, Preikestolen (Pulpit Rock), a smaller version of the lookout of the same name above Lysefjord, near Stavanger.
