This historic 26m-high tower was constructed as a guards' lookout in 1850 and served as a lookout for fire and suspicious activity until 1922. It now contains an interesting little museum, and there are reasonable views over the harbour towards the Old Town from its top; it's OK to open the windows to take photos.
