TIME : 2016/2/18 23:20:20

This subdued memorial and museum bears witness to the 400,000 to 600,000 Jews who were murdered here in 1942 by the Nazis as part of their ‘Operation Reinhard’, the German's secret plan to eliminate the Jewish population of occupied Poland. There were only three known survivors from Bełżec. The former camp lies about 100km south of Lublin, is accessible by regular minibus from Zamość. Children under 14 are not permitted to see the permanent exhibit.
