Stephen’s Tower

TIME : 2016/2/19 0:23:56

Looming above Piaţa Libertăţii is Stephen’s Tower (Turnul Ştefan). The 15th-century Gothic-style tower was originally topped with a bell, which was replaced by a mechanical clock in 1628. There’s a noticeboard beside the tower with some descriptive information about the tragic fate of the adjoining church, which survived several fires and was eventually pulled down by the municipal authorities.
