The main remnant of Guadalajara’s glory days is the fabulous Palacio de los Duques del Infantado , where the Mendoza family held court. It’s one of Spain’s most striking buildings, with its elaborate studded flamboyant Gothic-Mudéjar facade and stunning patio, with carved heraldic lions and griffins above exuberant arches. It holds the local art museum, open shorter hours.
