You can't miss the quirky Castillo de la Fortaleza, a grey-turreted private museum at the southern entrance to the town. The one-time home of local archaeologist, writer, artist and collector Vicente Sanchez Araña, has 16 rooms displaying everything from old weapons to mammalian skeletons, paintings and a display of Guanche artefacts found in nearby caves.
