One of Ibiza's largest inland villages, Sant Miquel offers a slice of low-key Ibizan life. It's not a picture postcard place – its two main streets are lined with apartment blocks – but its little hillock (once a refuge from pirates) is graced with old cottages, a boutique or two and the striking Església de Sant Miquel .
