The main reason to venture down to Talpiot is to walk along the garden-fringed Haas Promenade, which offers spectacular views over the Old City. To the east, atop the forested Hill of Evil Council , stand the UN’s Jerusalem headquarters, until 1948 the seat of the British high commissioner of Palestine. Take bus 78 from the Central Bus Station and get off on the corner of Daniel Yanovski and HaAskan Sts. Circle Line 99 city bus tours also stop here.
