The shaded slopes below Gan HaEm are home to a compact but attractive zoo with an aviary, a reptile house and habitats for bears, lions, monkeys, Bengal tigers, ibexes, deer and all sorts of other creatures, quite a few of them native to Israel. Kids will love the free-range peacocks who strut their stuff among the visitors.
