This 5.4km-long promenade bends gently round the western shore of Al Maryah Island and offers fantastic views of Abu Dhabi and the busy channel of water in between. Used as a venue for a lavish Christmas market and New Year's fireworks, and linking an assortment of cafes and bistros, the promenade is already a meeting place for Abu Dhabi's elite. Notable buildings include the upmarket Galleria Mall and the Cleveland Clinic that almost manages to make healthcare look inviting.
