Cape Fear Serpentarium

TIME : 2016/2/18 11:19:33

Herpetologist Dean Ripa's museum is a fun and informative place to spend an hour or two – if you don't mind standing in a building slithering with venomous snakes, giant constrictors and big-teethed crocodiles. They're all behind glass but…ssssssss. Just hope there's not an earthquake. One sign explains the effects of a bite from a bushmaster: 'It is better to just lie down under a tree and rest, for you will soon be dead.' Enjoy! Cash only.

The Serpentarium may close on Monday and Tuesday in the off-season. Live feedings are held at 3pm on Saturday and Sunday, but call ahead to confirm.
