Brad Pitt's futuristic green building project in the Lower Ninth Ward, Make It Right, dots the former devastated landscape like Jetsons -style living quarters. Some 75 sustainable, storm-resistant homes had been built at time of writing (45 of which are LEED-certified platinum), giving the neighborhood a beautiful kaleidoscopic aura that is in striking contrast to the despairing images beamed around the world during Katrina. The US Green Building Council has named the neighborhood the 'largest, greenest neighborhood of single family homes in America.'
