Hamilton Grange

TIME : 2016/2/18 11:56:00

This Federal-style retreat belonged to US founding father Alexander Hamilton, who owned a 32-acre country estate here in the early 1800s. Unfortunately, Hamilton was only able to enjoy his abode for two short years, his life cut short in a fatal duel with political rival Aaron Burr. Moved from Convent Ave to its present location, the building is especially interesting to history and architecture buffs.
