Sylvan Terrace

TIME : 2016/2/18 12:04:31

The wooden houses on storybook Sylvan Terrace – resplendent with their high narrow stoops, dentiled canopies and boldly paneled wooden doors – constitute NYC’s first attempt at building affordable abodes for city workers. The street itself is graced by its original, late 19th-century gas lamps, while its cobbled stones are Belgian, not Dutch, as is the case in Lower Manhattan and Brooklyn.
