The headstone in the Lubbock City Cemetery reads 'In Loving Memory of Our Own Buddy Holley. September 7, 1936 to February 3, 1959.' Musical notes and an electric guitar are engraved on the marker, too. Some visitors leave guitar picks, coins and other tokens. The cemetery is located on the eastern edge of town. Once inside the gate, turn down the lane to your right.
