The Sinagua cliff dwellings here are set in the nearly vertical limestone walls of a small piñon-studded canyon. The mile-long Island Trail steeply descends 185ft (more than 200 stairs), passing 25 rooms built under the natural overhangs and a shorter, wheelchair-accessible Rim Trail affords views of the cliff dwelling from across the canyon.
