ʻAimakapa Fishpond

TIME : 2016/2/18 12:25:05

In the southern section of Kaloko-Honokohau National Historical Park, ʻAimakapa is the largest fishpond on the Kona Coast. It's home to aeʻo (Hawaiian black-necked stilt) and ʻalae kea (Hawaiian coot), both of which are endangered native waterbirds. Nearby look for the ancient remains of a holua (lava-sledding course).
