Mary Tyler Moore (of 70s TV fame) put Minneapolis on the pop-culture map. The spot where she threw her hat in the air during the show's opening sequence is now marked by a great, cheesy statue depicting our girl doing just that. This statue has been temporarily moved to the visitor center whilst rennovation work takes place.
