Downstairs, animated movies and interactive exhibits explain the science of hydrocarbons, petrochemicals and oil extraction in a fairly entertaining fashion; upstairs exhibits cover the Spindletop discovery and the growth of the state's oil industry – these are well done, with movie-action mannequins.
