Situated on the Icefields Pkwy, close to the toe of the Athabasca Glacier, the green-roofed Icefield Centre contains a hotel, cafeteria, restaurant, gift shop, Snocoach ticket booth and Parks Canada information desk. The place is a bit of a human zoo in the summer, with tour coaches cramming the car park. Decamp here to purchase tickets and board buses for the Snocoaches and Glacier Skywalk.
A subterranean museum area was being renovated at the time of writing, with new exhibits promised.
