In the Gatineau Park is the Mackenzie King Estate , the summer estate of William Lyon Mackenzie King, Canada’s prime minister in the 1920s, late 1930s and early 1940s. A capable speaker, quirky King was known for his gregarious nature; he even talked to his dead dog and deceased mother. His home, Moorside, is now a museum with a pleasant tearoom.
