Ceres, the name of the Roman goddess of agriculture and fertility, also stands for Centre for Education & Research in Environmental Strategies, a two-decades-old community environment built on a former rubbish tip. Stroll around the permaculture and bushfood nursery before refuelling with an Australian-bush chai tea and cake at the pretty cafe.
There's also a community market where you can buy organic and backyard-produced goodies; the info centre here has a great bookstore on sustainability-related matter.
