Undoubtedly the highlight of a visit to George Town, this small museum houses a red-sailed replica of the Norfolk, the little yacht used by Bass and Flinders for their 1897 circumnavigation of Van Diemen’s Land. There are other old wooden boats here, too – it's altogether a rather fabulous collection. Reduced winter hours.
