Maalinup Aboriginal Gallery

Devoted to preserving Western Australia’s Aboriginal heritage, the Maalinup Aboriginal Gallery offers a fascinating diversion to wine tasting, located at the heart of the Swan Valley wine region. Aboriginal owned and operated, the gallery pays tribute to the region’s native Wadjuck people and is crammed with art and handicrafts designed by local artists and craftsmen.
As well as viewing works by local artists like Naomi Grant, Deborah Bonar and Greg Flahey, visitors can also learn more about Aboriginal culture by enjoying Bushtucker talks and tastings; art workshops and traditional dance and didgeridoo performances. There are also plenty of opportunities to purchase hand-made or one-of-a-kind souvenirs from hand-painted glass and wood items, to homemade toiletries and artisan foods.

Practical Info

Maalinup Aboriginal Gallery is located on West Swan Road in Henley Brook and is open daily from 10am to 5pm. Entrance is free, but fees apply for tours and activities.
