Beehive

TIME : 2016/2/19 13:50:36

Office workers swarm around the distinctive modernist Beehive (1980), which is exactly what it looks like, and which forms part of NZ's parliamentary complex. It was designed by British architect Sir Basil Spence. Controversy dogged its construction and, love it or loathe it, it's the architectural symbol of the country. Tours (including the adjacent Parliament House ) depart from the foyer on the hour from 10am to 4pm – arrive 15 minutes early.
