Markets

TIME : 2016/2/19 14:12:00

Vila’s colourful waterfront outdoor market is open round the clock from Monday morning to noon on Saturday with women from all over the country wearing beautiful island dresses selling their fruit and vegetables. Along the harbour wall past the playground is the Nambawan Market , just as colourful, where the women will braid your hair and sell you jewellery, woodcarvings, souvenirs and clothes. Between the two, across the road, is Hebrida Market Place . This market buzzes with the sound of sewing machines, as women make island dresses to order. There’s a range of hand-painted clothes, hand-made souvenirs, woven bags, mats and trinkets for sale.
