Founded in1849, this church is another one of the island's 16 Unesco World Heritage sites (take special note of the painting behind the entrance door; the juxtaposition of Jesus with Chiloé's mythological characters was used as Jesuit propaganda to convert the indigenous inhabitants). A complete restoration is due to finish by late 2015.
