With the increase in traffic and pollution, commuters are looking better options. However, commuters need a reliable, sustainable mode of transportation. Well, the only way possible is carpooling which is a popular trend in the West and developed nations. Carpooling is defined as sharing a ride with commuters, if a person is traveling alone in his/her car. By sharing ride, commuters find it easy to reach their destination on time and safe. If the commuters share the travel costs with car-owners, it would help the latter to bring down his/her expenses. Thus it is a win-win situation for both commuters and car-owners.
There are about five lakh working professionals in Hyderabad and about 65 percent people travel alone. Even if 10 percent of people share a ride, CO2 emission can be brought down by about 5000 tonnes. Carpooling just doesn't mean that share expenses and bring down the pollution, it is also about meeting new people and building a trusted community. For example, if a commuter finds a car-owner trust-worthy person, he/she might recommend their friends to carpool with lthe same car-owner and that's how the community grows. In places like India, women are more concerned about their safety. The crime in the past and present proved that women still find it difficult to reach home safe while working late hours. Carpooling may help them and in fact, a survey revealed that presences of strangers as co-passengers, car-owners drive more safely and strictly follow the traffic rules. These things are needed to be considered by the commuters if they are looking to carpool. In another advantage, lady commuters have the privilege of selecting women car-owners, if the carpooling platform has an option especially for them.

Many foreigners are unable to do journey city-city by strike and hiking with transporting facility and charges demand in India .Ridesharing services has came across as per car owners and co passengers demand is growing constantly. CoYatri is launched in 2014 with an aim to make things easier for car-owners and travelers. Car-owners can offer a ride while travelers can share the ride. This will contribute to checking the pollution, lessening the traffic on roads. So people can travel city-to-city at ease and this is absolutely wallet-friendly. Commuting is an essential for mankind however it is nothing less than a headache these days as traffic, pollution and budget are major constrains. Every year millions of vehicles are touching the roads and on the other hand, the pollution is on the rise which is leading to drastic changes in climate. In this 21st century, the climate change is major concern and every year millions of people are falling sick due to pollution. Emission of CO2 and toxic chemicals are polluting the atmosphere which is leading to higher temperatures during summer and colder conditions during the fall. Emissions from the vehicles is a major issue to be addressed here. Indians especially who reckon, car is a symbol status, bought many cars over the last decade. However, Indians are completely ignoring the adverse effects of owning car and well, it is pollution. Take the example of the capital city, New Delhi which had seen huge climatic changes in the last 3-4 years. The National Green Tribunal [NGT] is trying its best to contain the pollution in Delhi and accordingly issued certain orders on checking the pollution. One such issue that NGT brought to the notice is, emissions from the vehicles. The higher capacity vehicles are emitting toxic gases in the air which is diluting the atmosphere. Over the years many concepts made it to the spotlight to address the emissions from vehicles but vanished at the same pace. However, one concept is gaining strength and it is carpooling.
