No rain in November for Bali

TIME : 2016/2/25 14:10:19

Hey sun worshippers, guess where its sunny right now? The Island of the Gods is enjoying stunning weather, and not a sign of rain to be seen.

Weather is one of the major factors, that will affect any trip. A trip to Bali right now, will be as good as you can hope for. This year the wet season is delayed, due most likely to an El Niño weather condition, meaning drought for Australia & parts of Indonesia, particularly the eastern parts. On the other side of the Pacific ocean, there will be increased rain. On the west coast of the US, the jetstream usually passes over Oregon, Washington and Vancouver. During an El Nino, the jetstream splits into 2, causing flooding in Southern California and extra precipitation in Canada.

Riding a bicycle to work in Eugene Oregon for 6 years, got me fully accustomed to Oregon weather. Getting on for 4 years in Seminyak, I’m accustomed to Bali weather.

Barrie told me, that the rice harvest in Java has been a disaster, due to lack of rain. Here in Bali, the farmers will still be able to grow rice, as the subak, carefully manages water flowing from Bali’s 4 lakes in the highlands. For Bali’s other cash crop, tourism, the future looks good. According to the Weather Channel, we will enjoy highs of 32C and lows of 26C, with 0% chance of rain, for the next 10 days.
