Shiro-Hige’s Cream Puff Factory 白髭のシュークリーム工房 is located in Tokyo and makes the so-cute-you-do-not-want-to-eat-them Totoro Cream Puffs which are officially sanctioned by Studio Ghibli. Shiro-Hige is a white-mustached pig baker which is the Cream Puff Factory mascot. This is not a Studio Ghibli character but could be!

These Totoro cream puffs can be found only at Shiro-Hige’s (White Beard) Cream Puff Factory, a bakery so cute it looks like something straight out of a Studio Ghibli movie itself. It is in a lovely house surrounded by big trees, somewhere Totoro might actually live! Inside the walls are adorned with Ghibli posters and the furniture has stuffed Ponyo, Totoro and other Ghibli characters resting on them.

Here is a video from mcin68 that shows the quaint outside of Shiro-Hige’s Cream Puff Factory 白髭のシュークリーム工房 which is a bit tricky to find. The video also shows inside the cute store.

Making a cream puff in the shape of Totoro is a time-consuming process and cannot be done by machine and mass-produced. Every single Totoro cream puff is handmade and unique. The store also carries great cookies as well. Not only are the creations cute, the ingredients are selected with care. Only the finest, Japanese produced and grown ingredients are used.  Wheat flour is organically grown in Ishikawa Prefecture and butter and fresh cream from Hokkaido.
