The 17th annual Ichinoseki Beer Festival in the south of Iwate Prefecture was held over 3 days (Aug. 22-24, 2014) in Ichinoseki City. The beer festival served up more than 200 varieties of beer from local breweries across Japan as well as from Germany and Belgium. The festival had live entertainment including hula dancers! Can’t wait for next year!

From Tokyo Station, catch the JR Tohoku Shinkansen towards Morioka. Get off at Ichinoseko Station and Ichinoseki Cultural Center is about a 5 minutes walk from there. Total travel time is about 2.5 hours.
From Shinjuku Station, Tokyo catch the JR Saikyo Line towards Kawagoe. At Kawagoe Station transfer to the JR Tohoku Shinkansen towards Morioka. Get off at Ichinoseko Station and Ichinoseki Cultural Center is about a 5 minutes walk from there. Total travel time is about 3 hours.
