Jumpin’ Jellyfish at DisneySea

Next to the sunken ship housing the Mermaid Lagoon Theater, you will see glowing jellyfish gently rising and falling. Look closer, and these parachute-like jellyfish are all carrying shells that hold two passengers. This attraction adds visual interest to the theme of the underwater grotto, but is best suited for very little children. The ride itself is similar to being seated on an elevator, so does not provide much thrill or excitement to the average adult.

The ride lasts about one minute, and no photos or videos are permitted. Children must be able to sit stably and can not ride in a parent’s lap. Try getting a jellyfish next to the rail for the best views of Triton’s Kingdom at DisneySea. This is also the best place to take photos if only a few of the family members decide to go on the ride. Lines are usually not too long, so consider this if there are younger children in your party.
