There are no cars on Ko Lipe which is part of the compact little island’s charm. Many tourists see the lack of roads and traffic as a distinct advantage and walking is the preferred way of getting around the island for the majority of visitors to Ko Lipe. However, if you have heavy luggage to carry there are also a couple of taxi options available to get you to or from your accommodation. Motorbikes with side-cars run a taxi service with enough room for passengers and their luggage.
Dirt tracks criss-cross Ko Lipe although there are also some concrete-paved pathways in and around Walking Street which is the main connecting strip between Pattaya Beach and Sunrise Beach. With most arrivals into Ko Lipe arriving on Pattaya Beach, longtail boats also operate a taxi service to take visitors to the other beaches on Ko Lipe.
