I took this photo at a temple in Chiang Mai during the recent Loy Krathong Festival. This contented cat had selected a lofty perch in an alcove to enjoy a snooze. Away from the crowds and the noise of fireworks, there was probably no better place in the temple grounds to enjoy a cat-nap than in the serene presence of this Buddha statue.
