Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens
These 14-hectare gardens are a peaceful and pleasant place to bring younger kids. Zoodoo Wildlife Park
It only takes a 35 minute drive from central Hobart to the Zoodoo Wildlife Park, a immense stretch of farmland that contains a safari, reptile room and farmyard petting zoo. Younger kids will love visiting the fluffy sheep, goats, and ducks, before clapping eyes on the majestic Bengal tigers and rare, bright white lions. There’s also an indoor playground - with bouncy castles and ball pits - for toddlers to expend some energy.

The Lady Nelson, an exact replica of the 1798 vessel, is a living museum in every sense.
