  • Melbourne’s G20 summit has been hailed a success and the friendliest held since the group’s inception seven years ago
  • Australian director George Miller and his troupe of fluffy tap-dancing penguins in Happy Feet, earned an impressive $US42.3 million and have topped the North American box office, knocking off James Bond and sending Borat back to Kazakhstan.
  • The Sydney Opera House will take on a party feel on Tuesday 21 November when it hosts the team behind a global competition to find the new seven wonders of the world.

Sydneysiders are invited to come along dressed in their best Aussie clobber to show their support for the Opera House’s bid to be named one of the world’s greatest architectural treasures.

The Opera House hopes to draw supporters with an early morning sausage sizzle, a giant sail-shaped lamington and a prize draw.

Cast members from the hit musical Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, will also attend dressed in their full costumes.
