1. Schützen-Festzelt


The Schützen-Festzelt tent serves feasts of roasted suckling pig and traditional warm potato salad. It seats up to 5,440 people and also has the Niederalmer band to get you swigging, swinging and singing.

2. Käfer's Wies’n-Schänke


The Käfer's Wies’n-Schänke is an autograph hunter’s dream, with celebrities from all over the world frequenting this cosy little tent. A relaxing respite from the more boisterous, larger tents, it has a strict door policy to keep entry exclusive and stays open until 12.30am.

3. Winzerer Fähndl


Winzerer Fähndl is an authentic Bavarian tent, filled with fascinating details and decorations and was originally home to Munich TV and Bayern Munich’s Oktoberfest party. The tent is also notable for the huge revolving Paulaner beer on top of its tower.

4. Schottenhamel


The Schottenhamel is a family run tent that seats around 6,000 people inside and is where Oktoberfest begins every year. Predominately frequented by the younger crowd, this tent is staffed by barmaids in traditional Bavarian attire.

5. Hacker


The vast Hacker-Bavarian Heaven tent seats nearly 10,000 people and is decked out in clouds and intricately painted skylines. There’s a revolving bandstand that features the Die Kirchdorfe, a Bavarian brass band with a rock twist.

6. Hofbräu


As one of the biggest tourist attractions at the Wiesn, it ́s no surprise that guests come from all over the world to enjoy the midday music, raise their Maß glasses in a toast and sample the true Bavarian delicacies on offer.

7. Armbrustschützen


The Armbrustschützen or is one of the most entertaining tents and even includes crossbow competitions. There is also an excellent brass band, the Platzl, along with a Bavarian banquet of sauerkraut, sausages and roasted pork knuckles.

8. Hippodrom


A popular choice for singles and younger drinkers, the Hippodrom is often frequented by celebrities, thanks to its intimate feel and stylish wine bar.

9. Fischer Vroni


If you're looking for a break from the traditional roast dishes, the Fischer Vroni serves a huge choice of barbequed salmon, white fish and pike, all guaranteed to get your mouth watering.

10. Ochsenbraterei Spatenbrau


This is definitely the place to be if you are a meat lover and it's not hard to guess what's on the menu in this tent, given the giant ox slowly turning on a huge spit above the entrance. However, you may be surprised by the variety of ox dishes on offer…

11. Augustiner


If you have children, then this is the tent for you. On both Tuesdays of the Wiesn there is a "kids day" with especially low prices. And what makes this tent the friendliest of all are the waiters and waitresses who never stop smiling.

12. Bräurosl


Named after the daughter of the brewery owner, the Bräurosl is also known as the entertainment tent and there is a good chance that you will be greeted by the sound of traditional Bavarian music any time you go in.

13. Löwenbräu


Don't be scared if you hear a lion's roar, it just means that you have come to the Löwenbräu tent (also known as the meeting point for fans of the TSV 1860 Munich football team, who are known as "Lions"). You will also find extraordinary hospitality and a great atmosphere.

14. Weinzelt


Even though Oktoberfest is known as a beer festival, it also caters for those who don’t want to drink beer all the time. Those are the people for whom the Wine Tent was created, with a choice of over 15 different wines, as well as a selection of Sekt (sparkling wine) and champagne.
