TIME : 2016/2/23 17:43:49
True to its historic status as one of the UK’s favourite seaside getaways, Blackpool is crammed with tasty dining options equipped to satisfy a wide variety of palates. A combination of refined restaurants, cosy cafés, and famous fish bars can be found throughout the town, catering to all budgets. Whether you’re looking for traditional British fare in a unique setting or something a touch more adventurous – perhaps with a fiery punch of spice – there’s plenty on offer.Typical dishes

In the quintessentially British Blackpool, you can expect hearty portions of vinegar-soaked fish and chips at every turn, not forgetting rich and creamy afternoon teas – very naughty but very nice.

Promenade

Blackpool’s Promenade is lined with all kinds of mouth-watering eateries – from kiosks to cafes to family restaurants – where you can fill your face with seaside treats. Perfect for stags and hens, the Blackpool Bierkeller overlooks the Central Pier and is perfect if you and your mates are looking to knock back beers, scoff hearty grub and dance the night away. A minute’s walk up the road will get you to Roberts’ Oyster Bar, an old school seafood kiosk which has been operating since 1876.

As well as the culinary delights in store on the Promenade, central Blackpool is squashed full of affordable and interesting places to eat, perfect for a quick break from shopping and sightseeing. Two blocks inland from the North Pier, Michael Wan’s Mandarin has been producing fine Cantonese cuisine for over 50 years – boasting a mouth-watering menu of authentic delicacies. Toast Café Bar & Grill may sound like a greasy spoon but it's actually a suave contemporary establishment where you’ll find locally sourced produce presented with flair and finesse.

The C Fresh Fish and Chips bar does exactly what it says on the tin, delivering fresh fish and fluffy chips in a friendly environment, while at Pleasure Beach theme park you’ll find plenty of fast-food options from burgers to hot dogs – perfect for noshing in between the rides.

Less than a 5-minute drive from the park is The Cottage, which has been cooking up scrumptious portions of freshly battered fish and home-cut chips since 1920.
