TIME : 2016/2/24 10:35:12
Nashville’s retail spots range from vast shopping malls to tiny family-run boutiques. Whether you’re after designer and brand names, or searching for a vogue vintage bargain, you’ll find it in Nashville. As the country music capital of the USA, you’ll also find many cool music stores, where the walls are lined with hundreds of guitars. There’s also a strong focus on independent arts and crafts, as well as classic cowboy gear.12 South District

The 12 South District is a small Nashville neighborhood, located just to the east of Hillsboro Village. This narrow stretch of the city has emerged as a trendy hotspot in recent years, showcasing the best of Nashville’s authentic, less touristy live music bars and galleries. With a strong community vibe, you’ll feel right at home in 12 South. Visit the array of ultra-cool vintage clothing stores, which are popular with celebs going under the radar for great finds. You can even get your own custom made denim. It’s not all about what to wear, though, with music stores and local galleries also to be explored.

Hillsboro Village

Adjacent to 12 South, on the opposite side of 12th Avenue, discover the welcoming neighborhood of Hillsboro Village. This bright, youthful area rests right beside Vanderbilt and Belmont Universities, which gives Hillsboro a quaint academic atmosphere. The neighborhood is full of quirky eateries, divine dining, and independent stores. You can easily spend an entire afternoon leafing through second-hand books or checking out the glittering, crystal-studded handmade jewelry. Not forgetting the chance to pick up the latest record at a coffee shop/record store.

Green Hills

Green Hills is a large suburban area situated southwest of Downtown, but it still boasts a quiet, homely small-town charm, with a number of fine restaurants and cozy music venues to explore. It's also a mecca for shoppers, with the upscale Mall at Green Hills located centrally. This large ritzy building - complete with glass ceilings to let in natural light - is home to top-end designer names as well as high street favorites. A 5-minute stroll down the road will take you to Hill Center, a smaller mall bursting with modish contemporary clothes stores.

Opryland

Opryland is a large neighborhood situated away from the hustle and bustle of Nashville’s center, at around a 20 minute drive from Downtown. The area also goes by the name Music Valley, thanks to its wealth of entertainment venues and complexes, from themed diners to old world showboats. Set beside the banks of the shimmering Cumberland River, discover the Opry Mills mall, which contains inexpensive outlet stores for the bargain hunter. There's also a jaw-dropping IMAX theater for immersive entertainment, and a food court if you need to refuel.
