waikikiProbably one of the most recognizable and famous stretches of beach in the world, Waikiki Beach is not only the beach where the father of modern surfing Duke Kahanamoku rode waves in the early 20th century, but it’s one of the most densely packed hotel strips in the entire islands. While you certainly won’t have a hard time finding a place to stay along this strip of high rise hotels, luxury resorts and condos, you may have a hard time finding a CHEAP place to stay along Waikiki.

If you are determined to stay on the famous stretch of beach that overlooks the famed Diamond Head, enjoy the nightlife and see what all the talk about Waikiki is about, but have a small budget, it may come as a relief to know there are actually several hostels near Waikiki, where even the most frugal of travelers can get right in the Waikiki mix.
