The new Getty Villa

Southern California has a new blockbuster museum to add to its
much- lauded lineup. A $275 million renovation of the original
hilltop J. Paul Getty Museum, the Getty Villa in Malibu pays homage
to Getty's collection of Greek, Roman, and Etruscan antiquities
with a design that's as culturally respectful as it is
ground-breaking. We toured the museum just before its January
opening with principal architect Jorge Silvetti, who highlighted
some of his
favorite
spots.
