The 14th-century cathedral was built in Catalan Gothic style (although with a baroque facade) on the site of Medina Minurqa’s central mosque.
Old Ciutadella also has a pair of fine baroque 17th-century churches. Església del Roser is now used as an occasional exhibition gallery. Església dels Socors is home to the Museu Diocesà , a fine little museum, secular as much as religious. Opening hours can be irregular.
