Majorca-based Fluxá is the brains behind the Camper brand, known for its hip, rubber-soled walking shoes, the Casa Camper boutique hotel in Barcelona, and gallery-like concept stores. Fluxá shares where—and how—he finds respite on the road.

Markets are a good way to get a sense of a city. The Mercat de Santa Caterina in the old quarter of Barcelona is a favorite. There’s a stall inside called Cocinas. I stop there for a lunch of fish and fresh vegetables.
Local beer. It’s reliable and good. And you can find it anywhere in the world.
