Globe-Trotter’s New Luggage Collection is Inspired by The Goring

Luggage set from Globe-Trotter's collaboration with The Goring Hotel

As if we needed another travel temptation, English luggage company Globe-Trotter has introduced another luggage set inspired by London’s The Goring Hotel—a.k.a. the posh accommodations Kate Middleton and her family stayed before the royal wedding. The success of the two brands’ 2013 debut collection called for another collaboration—this time celebrating The Goring’s recent renovation reopening, which coincides with its 105th anniversary.

How does one distill an entire hotel into a suitcase? Available in nine sizes, the set mimics the inn’s color palette—think brown and ivory with burgundy and navy leather trim. The damask silk linings come from the Gainsborough Silk Weaving Company, the same group who made wall hangings found in the rooms and suites at The Goring. Because, really, why should the luxury stop at check-out?
