Miami’s become a launch pad for international hotel companies introducing new brands, and the first hotel in Starwood’s new Tribute Portfolio brand—which debuted April 2015—is the Royal Palm South Beach Miami, a Tribute Portfolio Resort.

To mark the brand’s debut, the Royal Palm South Beach is hosting a blowout dedication event today, June 11. Pop star Marina and The Diamonds will play for the crowds, who can sample Eastern Mediterranean food from on-site restaurant Byblos, opening July. Helmed by Stuart Cameron and designed by the firm Munge Leung, this is the first United States outpost of the Toronto-based restaurant.

Tribute Portfolio, Starwood’s 10th brand (it also has The Luxury Collection, St. Regis, Westin, Sheraton, Aloft, and Element), will be a collection of independent four-star hotels. Properties in Savannah, Nashville, Charleston, and Asheville are rolling out in the next two years, with 100 Tribute Portfolio properties expected by 2020.

Built in 1939, Royal Palm is an Art Deco gem. Rottet Studio completed a full renovation of the resort in 2013. With 393 rooms, it’s got the basics down, with the South Shore bar suited for pit stops for “Mmmmojitos” and lounging by the pool. In the end, what more can anyone demand from a South Beach hotel?
